It's been a
warm and sunny summer in South-central Alaska. That means
last winter's snow
has melted fast and the hiking and peak bagging is good.
As a result of this weather, I'm focusing on non-skiing activities this summer.
Cloudy summers with slow snowpack melting,
like last summer (2012)
or the
summer of 2008,
make for good year-round skiing in Alaska. But sunny summers
like this one make you want to pursue activities other than
skiing during our
short summer.
So, this web
site is now in ski-hibernation. I'll be ski-hibernating in my cave
until the first snowfall of next winter wakes me up. See ya then! |
